Ideal Home Improvements were commissioned to install a brand-new roofing system on a newly constructed building, using high-quality slate tiles for a durable and timeless finish. The project focused on delivering a secure, weather-resistant roof designed for long-term performance and efficiency.
Before & During
As this was a new build, the property was at the structural stage with no existing roof covering in place. The focus was on preparing a solid foundation to ensure a reliable and long-lasting installation. The roofing process began with the installation of breathable roofing felt, followed by timber battens fixed across the roof structure. These battens provide the framework for the slate tiles, ensuring correct spacing, alignment, and ventilation. This stage is captured in the image, showing the roof prepared and ready for the slate to be laid.
After
The finished slate roof delivers a clean, high-quality appearance that complements the new build perfectly. Beyond aesthetics, it provides excellent durability, weather resistance, and low maintenance — creating a strong, efficient roofing system built to stand the test of time.
